Local Area Information

Playa Blanca is the 'jewel' of Lanzarote with an all year round perfect climate of average 21 degrees in winter and in summer an average 29 degrees.  With over 300 sunshine days per year and little rainfall, it is the perfect destination for all ages and at any time of the year.

Playa Blanca prides itself by having 3 lovely beaches (all within a short walk from Las Brisas), low rise buildings, a large selection of restaurants lining a sweeping harbour and a long seafront promenade, which makes a lovely walk from the town to the Marina Rubicon (where there are further stylish eating places, shops and cafes overlooking the yachts and harbour).

Playa Blanca is also well placed for days out or for those wanting to experience more of the island, with buses and organised tours going to other resorts such as the larger Puerto del Carmen, a large water park (Costa Teguise) , tours of the Timanfaya Volcano,  Camel treks and the Rancho Texas zoo park.

Within Playa Blanca there are regular ferries to visit Fuerteventura just a 40 minute trip away, along with a range of other boat trips (including to the stunning secluded Papagayo beach). Playa Blanca also offers a small childrens water park at Aqua Lava and the popular twice weekly market selling local crafts, clothes and Aloe Vera products.
